Join us at City Hall on October 1 at 12 PM as we raise the flag to officially kick off Student Hunger Month. Our Executive Director, Cassandra Leblanc will share a few words, followed by light refreshments.
Student Hunger Month is dedicated to raising awareness and taking action against food insecurity among students in our community. Every day, hundreds of students rely on our programs for nutritious meals and weekend food support. This month is about shining a light on the issue, engaging our community, and working together to ensure no student goes hungry.

Fall Festival of Colours
Join us at the beautiful Festival of Colours at Crabbe Mountain for a weekend filled with autumn views, family fun, and community spirit!
We’ll be set up with an information table where you can:

Market Day
Join us on Saturday, October 11th at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market! We’ll be there from 7 AM - 1 PM, selling t-shirts, totes, backpacks, and more, all in support of Student Hunger Month. Every purchase helps us continue our mission to fight student hunger in our community.

Story Time at the Library
Join us on Saturday, October 18th at 10:30 AM at the Fredericton Public Library for a special Storytime co-hosted by our Student Hunger Program!
We’ll be reading fun and engaging stories all about food and food security to help raise awareness during Student Hunger Month. This family-friendly event is perfect for kids and parents alike, as we explore important topics in a way everyone can understand.
Bring the little ones for a meaningful morning of stories, learning, and support for the cause.

Trivia Fundraiser
Join us for a special evening of trivia, community, and craft beer at Picaroons Roundhouse in support of Student Hunger Month!
This isn’t your average trivia night - the questions will be themed around food insecurity, student hunger, food, and Student Hunger Month, making it both fun and thought-provoking.

Admission: Free! Donations to the Student Hunger Program are encouraged and will directly support local students with daily meals and weekend food packs.

The MEGA Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive
Help us fight student hunger in a MEGA way! We’re teaming up with 5 businesses to fill 5 school buses with non-perishable food donations for our Student Hunger Program.
Every item donated helps us prepare healthy lunches and weekend food packs for students right here in our community, through Feed the Lions (LHHS) and Kat's Kitchen (FHS). All funds donated that way will also be donated to our Student Hunger Program.

Live Music on the Patio
Join us on Sunday, October 27 for an afternoon of live music on the patio at The Landing by Milltown from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Whether you’re looking to relax with a pint, sip on some coffee, or enjoy a tasty snack, this is the perfect way to wrap up your weekend!
A portion of all beer sales will be donated to support Student Hunger Month, so come on out and enjoy live music while helping make a difference in our community!

Pumpkin Carving Contest
Join us for a Pumpkin Carving Contest on Saturday, October 26 from 11 AM to 1 PM on the patio at The Landing! Whether you're a carving pro or just in it for the fun, bring your creativity and get ready to craft some spooky, silly, or spectacular pumpkins!
Cost: By donation (All proceeds support our Student Hunger Month!)

Join us for the Fredericton Riverview Ford Red Wings FILL A FORD Fundraiser! This exciting event is part of Student Hunger Month, and we need your help to fill a Ford with non-perishable food items. Every donation goes directly to supporting students facing food insecurity in our community.
Come out and support the cause while cheering on the Fredericton Riverview Ford Red Wings as they help us reach our goal! Together, we can make a meaningful impact and ensure students have the meals they need to thrive.

Home Depot Fall Orange Door BBQ
Join us for the Fall Orange Door BBQ at Home Depot! Stop by on October 19 from 10 AM to 3 PM for a delicious BBQ while supporting a great cause. All proceeds will go toward supporting local youth and our student hunger program, ensuring that young people in our community have access to the meals and resources they need.
Enjoy freshly grilled food, meet community members, and contribute to a meaningful cause. It’s a perfect way to spend your Saturday while making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

MEGA Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive
Join us for our 4th annual MEGA Stuff a Bus Food Drive for School Food Programs!!
Help us STUFF 5 schools buses full of food for hungry kids in our city! All food donations will be split between Feed the Lions (LHHS school food program) and Kat’s Kitchen (FHS school food program) and all funds donated that day will be donated to the Student Hunger Program.

Come out cheering for the REDS and support Student Hunger Month at the UNB REDS football game on Saturday, October 7th at BMO Field!
